I was born in Yorkshire, England and have been a resident of Kenwood, Saint Petersburg for almost 3 years.
I obtained a degree in Fine Art from Bristol University, England followed by a post-graduate art teaching course. I then worked for 5 years teaching art at a high school in London.
Having a lifelong interest in fabrics and sewing I left teaching to start a business making costumes for clients including the BBC, Pinewood Film Studios and various London theaters. I worked directly with celebrities such as Barbara Streisand, Stephanie Powers as well as many British actors.
Recently, I have started making collages using mixed-media and found objects collected over many years. I also create a range of unique, whimsical toys drawing on my large collection of vintage and recycled fabrics which are on sale in the Museum of Fine Art’s gift shop.
I work out of our local converted garage/studio.
