I was born on the family farm in Upstate South Carolina where I fell in love with Mother Nature and all of Her beauty.
I spent seven years at Clemson University, but never graduated. At Clemson, I learned how to create perspective through classes in industrial drawing. This was my first formal training in drawing.
After a stint in the Navy, I lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for many years. I needed to have some formal training in art, so I attended local colleges, taking classes in basic drawing, drawing from life and the use of acrylic paint.
I now live in Saint Petersburg and love the creativity of the arts and the energy that exists here.
